Our servers are monitored 24/7 by self healing software. The software keeps an eye on the webserver, the ftp-server, nameservers, ssh, MySQL, PostgresSQL, your website administration interface, the scheduler (aka cron-daemon), and the general server load. If one of these tools stops working or there is a system overload, there will be a maximum downtime of 5 minutes for each tool and it will be restarted within those 5 minutes. If there are unexpected problems, our technicians are informed by text messages on their cellular phone and email to look after the particular process.
All sites are hosted on dedicated Dual Processor Quad Core Intel Clovertown based servers on our preferred OS CentOS (based on RedHat Linux Enterprise). Redundant components are used to ensure uptime and minimize failures.
